Experience the opportunity to train to teach in both Mainstream and Special school settings.

The Orchard Teaching School offers Initial Teacher Training (ITT) places through School Direct training programmes (click here for further information about School Direct). We offer both salaried and tuition places.

As a trainee Primary teacher you will undertake placements in both a mainstream primary school and a special school setting, allowing you to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with specialism in Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will also complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) awarded by the University of Wolverhampton.

On successful completion of the programme you will be qualified to teach in both mainstream primary schools and special school settings.
