Class 1 Ladybirds

“Ladybirds on the move”.

Children in class 1 have started their topic of Winter and have shown a great deal of curiosity and motivation and active learning, whilst exploring ice and cornflour. We will continue to support their learning throughout the Winter and introduce Spring activities after half term.

We have been very busy in Class 1 during this Autumn term. We have been learning how to make friends, explored activities relating to Children in Need and working hard on our individual targets.

This spring term Ladybird class has been learning about ‘In the Home’ the children had the opportunity to participate in activities which they would do at home. This included a bed time story activity, health and self care activities like brushing our teeth and bathing our dolls. We also investigated various nursery rhymes in multi sensory ways. One of our favourite was ‘Mary Mary’. We planted seeds and over time watched them grow. We explored a range of fruit and vegetables through touch, taste and smell.

During our PE session Ladybird class is supported by the West Bromwich Albion Foundation. They are using different apparatus when moving with control and balance.

Here we are using the magic carpet, using our hands and feet making the images mov
