This term our topic has been spring and growing. Class 17 have been reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and enjoying lots of activities linked to the story. In Maths we have looked at repeating patterns we have copied repeated patterns and made our own repeating patterns. During our Science lessons we have been learning how to use magnifying glasses to make things bigger, we practiced by looking at insects in soil in a tray and then we explored with them in the garden. In handling and writing we have been making circular marks as well as using red and green paint looking at the marks we make with sponges and rollers. Some of us have been drawing pictures from the story and practicing our writing skills. We have made some lovely butterfly pictures in our art lessons, using paint brushes, we chose the colours we wanted to use and practiced mixing our own colours.
Red Nose Day 2021
On Friday 19th March, Class 17 joined in an array of activities to celebrate Comic Relief and International Happiness Day. From smiley faces in the mirror, to designing and making masks, happy faced biscuits and happy buckets. It really was a day of happiness. Thank you to Fox parents for your kind donations for Comic Relief.
World Book Day 2021
Class 17 had a fantastic time celebrating ‘World Book Day’. Each group had a focus book, which we read in the morning, followed by some activity worksheets. In the afternoon, we explored potions and experimented in our Science session. It was magical!!
Fox class wrapped up warm, put on our wellies and ventured out into the snowy playground. We all had so much fun and our teachers think our physical target, to throw a ball with more accuracy has come on leaps and bounds as we chased and threw snowballs at them.
Mark Making Skills
Class 17 have been busy working hard to develop their mark making skills to various types of music. They used both hands to draw lines, dots and circles using felts, dabbers and crayons. What super stars!
