SEN Midday Supervisor Assistants
Hours: 8.33 hours per week, term time only 11.40am -1.20pm Monday-Friday
Rate of pay: Band C SCP 5-8 (£21,575 - £22,777) pro rata £11.18 - £11.81 per hour Term time only

The Orchard School is a Sandwell Special School that caters for pupils with complex and profound learning difficulties. These include severe autism, complex medical conditions, physical and mobility difficulties, as well as severe development delay. There are currently 147 pupils on roll and our children range from 4 – 11 years.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the Orchard School to appoint SEN Midday Supervisor Assistants. We are looking to recruit SEN Midday Supervisor Assistants to cover the lunch period at The Orchard School from Monday to Fridays to start as soon as possible.
You will be working with the children supervising at lunchtime and assisting with the partaking of food, engaging and encouraging play activities and assisting with children’s hygiene requirements which include toileting and laundry tasks.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend school prior to interview for a short pre-assessment with the children at lunchtime to help decide your suitability for the role.
This will take place on Thursday 29th June 2023 from 11.30-1.30pm
The applicant will need to possess:
- High standards of written and spoken English
- This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for the role.

Learning Support Practitioner
Hours: 32.5 hours, Term time + 5 INSET Days (Additional possibility of part time hours worked across 2/3 days)
Rate of pay: Band D Scale point 9-17 £12.02 – £13.92 per hour £23,194 - £26,845 (pro rata) + SEN allowance

We are looking to appoint candidates that are available to work 32.5 hours across Monday to Friday, term time. However, we will also consider candidates that are available for part time hours across 2 or 3 full school days. If you wish to be considered for part time hours, please make this clear on your application.
